Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra
This orchestra consists of the most experienced musicians in our
organization. Students range in age up to 21 and members find opportunities to
perform original orchestral literature in the form of major symphonies, concerti
and overtures. It has a history of presenting exciting repertoire and looks
forward to each season of fine performances.
Tuition - $1035 or $525 in two payments

Cascade Junior Symphony Orchestra
This orchestra is designed as a preparatory group for the Youth Symphony as
well as being a fine youth orchestra in its own right. Literature is challenging
and consists of a full orchestral repertoire for the developing
musician.

Cascade Camerata Orchestra
The Camerata is the newest in the CYSO continuum of orchestras and challenges students with a level of literature that furthers the development of their performance and technical facility.
Students perform both full and string orchestra repertoire that includes original and arranged compositions. An emphasis is placed on developing students’ performance skills in preparation for the higher-level ensembles.

settings. The Premiere Orchestra, along with the Sinfonette, offer our youngest
musicians experience that prepares them for the full repertoire of the Camerata, Junior
and Youth symphonies.

Cascade Sinfonette
The Cascade Sinfonette begins its fifteenth season in 2004, and since 1991
has included both strings and winds. Rehearsal and performance experience is
provided in small group, chamber and full orchestra settings.

Cascade Overture Strings
The Cascade Preparatory Strings group is for students who wish to prepare for
entrance into the youth symphony program. This group is designed for string
players that have at least one year of playing on their instrument but have
little or no experience playing in an ensemble. The ability to read notes and rhythmic notation is required (i.e. equivalent to Suzuki Book 2). The students will work on note reading and rhythm patterns in various meters and will spend time playing in parts and dividing into smaller groups to further develop confidence. The level
of music will be similar to that of an elementary honor orchestra.
