Student Handbook
Attendance
You must call your registrar if you will be absent or late for any reason.
Attendance at all rehearsals, concerts, and retreats is required to maintain your CYSO membership. You must be in your seat and ready to play at the time listed in the schedule. Excuses for rehearsal attendance are given only for illness, religious holidays, or required participation in school music performances. Excuses for dress rehearsals are given only by the conductor and there are no excuses for concert attendance other than an illness or an emergency. An unexcused absence from a dress rehearsal or concert or more than three unexcused absences from rehearsals are grounds for dismissal from CYSO. If you do not call your registrar when you are absent, that will be considered an unexcused absence.
