For your audition you should be prepared to play the following:

A major and a melodic minor scale (2-3 octaves) in any key you choose;

A 3-5 minute solo (no accompanist);

Sight reading

Wednesday, Sept 7th: Viola, Clarinet, Flute, and low Brass

Thursday, Sept 8th: Violin 4-9pm, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumpet, and Percussion

Friday, Sept 9th: No auditions

Saturday, Sept 10th: Violin 10-2pm and Bass

Monday, Sept 13th: Violin 4-9pm, Cello, and Horn

There is a $35 audition registration fee

Scheduling Preferences

CYSO will do everything possible to schedule the audition at a time that is convenient for you. Please keep the following in mind: Most instruments are scheduled to complete all auditions in one day, there most likely will be no flexibility in choosing the day. Coaches choose the times they are available; we will schedule you within that time range.

Photo / Roster Opt Out

CYSO generates a roster with member addresses and phone numbers. This roster is distributed to other CYSO members for personal use, such as arranging carpools. Photos taken at camp are used on the CYSO website and in advertising brochures. No names are ever associated with the photos.
